That’s okay, they’re more affordable to us.

Legit though if you can’t or wouldn’t otherwise pay due to budget constraints you deserve it as much as us. Enjoy your loot!

I don’t use a VPN. Never have. Never will.

Maybe about a decade ago I was downloading everything off of pirate bay. Does anybody remember there were movies apparently uploaded w tracking software of some sort so that various studious could send ISP’s threatening letters? I do.

Time Warner cable got one of those letters about me for a handful of movies. They fucked up when they sent me a letter in the mail, forwarding a message about how a studio would sue the isp because of theft blah blah blah and the isp says I must stop using pirate bay.

I called them and asked them how they knew I was on pirate bay, when the original message from the studios mentioned nothing about where I got the torrent from. Whatever idiot worked there literally said we can see which sites you’re going to. I told that guy to get his manager and I told the manager that this idiot just implicated their whole shitty company in a warrantless search and they need to back the fuck up off of me or cancel my service right then.

They never sent another letter. They did not call me back. They did not get sued by paramount or whoever tf. I did not have my service terminated.

Ok maybe piracy is wrong, but how are companies like Ubisoft and EA right?

tbh, i live in a first world country and I’ve never used a VPN while pirating since i started 15 years ago. A mistake i know.

Actually, Poland is a 3rd world country, so…

ClearVPN devs are Ukrainian and if you’re in Ukraine, you can confirm it via Diia app (digital documents) and get premium paid package for free “until victory”. So we get free solid VPN too… Not worth daily bombings IMHO.

  11. I live in Czechia and piracy is technically legal.

I can download whatever the fuck I want, as that is legal. However it is illegal for me to distribute it.

    If what’s bought isn’t owned – piracy isn’t theft.

  13. Imagine what, if others didn’t pay, you wouldn’t be able to pirate too.

Unless you are profiting from piracy and it became big enough for authorities to notice, no one cares you are pirating

I live in Poland, which I consider a 1st world country and I don’t have a problem with that

You don’t get to cry about it if you can’t analyze the market to give your customers a fair price. That is literally the most important part of marketing a product. If it is too expensive, people won’t buy it. They will either buy an alternative or use counterfeit products. It is shitty practise to be a pain in the ass for your potential customers to compensate for your lack of competence.
