Ah yes, the especially Canadian experience in a nutshell

Yeah but going to Walmart is a dangerous thing… worst part is that you may need a tetanus shot when you leave

Well, you regulated your tech industry out of existence and then decided you’d fund universal death-panel healthcare on the back of retail taxes. What’d you expect?

If it makes you feel any better, the closest microcenter is 200 miles away, and my nearest Walmarts don’t have any cheap SSDs.

At least I don’t need to pay thousands because I broke my toe.

I used to live in NY with 3 Microcenters within 30 minutes of me. Now in Pittsburgh with the closest one in Ohio.

From the US and tbh – at least for everyone I know with PCs, we all order online because it’s cheaper.. lol

It awesome to just be shopping for some random shit and see a deal like the one I saw earlier for like $5.27 per 500gb ssd or something like that, I believe it was this group.. anyways, wife usually steers me and the gamer kid (I have a ‘I’d rather PLAY the REAL game’ kid, too lol..) away from the fun aisles we like to spend unneeded money on.. lol

Man I’m like 7 hours away from the nearest microcenter

Except I live in Florida where the only microcenter in the state **will** open in Miami (3 hours from where I live) and the best PC part I’ve seen at a Walmart is a 500GB NVME SSD.

I think my wife would prefer we use the term “comparatively cheap” rather than “dirt cheap” because she will be the first to tell you my hobby still ain’t exactly inexpensive.

I have to drive across 3 provinces minimum to go to one. Like 4 days driving
