With a whole 11 times wow. The millions of games a day on other maps that redditors play is in shambles

It’s not only regular premier / faceit players who picks simpler maps if they can, but also pro’s who rather ban maps with advanced strats like Nuke or overpass. It also makes them non worthy for others to learn that map if most of enemy teams will ban them anyway.
In csgo I loved Nuke, now I barely play it as its almost instaban in most of the matches and its mirage 24/h.

If valve will simply follow rule of least played map we end up with mappool of bland maps with not so much tactics. While mappool rotation is welcomed I think overpass is pretty exciting map to watch on pro level and I feel like this is going to be a loss.

Vertigo and Mirage are also most played in Casual.

The event only started a few days ago. Half the teams haven’t even played any games yet.

  8. Here is a take to EVERYONE who says they are bad/ boring maps. If they are so bad/ boring maps why have they been played so much

We all know that valve went with statistics, and yet so many are complaining. I really don’t get it – if most people wanted to play overpass, then they should have played it so valve don’t take it down. I don’t get the narrative “I don’t like playing the map, but I want more versatile mappool” – i believe Valve goes with a simple rule “you like it, you play it”.

Overpass wasn’t played ONCE in playoffs of the last major. At the same time it was one of the least played maps in premier, so it was an easy decision for Valve.

If people would have REALLY wanted the map to stay, they would have played it. It’s this simple.
