Probably not 100% related to OCing but figured y’all might know.
Well, I made the #1 rookie mistake apparently.
I’m tearing apart my waterblock for a cleaning, and found out I left the plastic piece on one of the RAM modules on my 4090. Whoops!
However, I wouldn’t have never known if I wasn’t doing this because mem junction temps were always nice and cool. It usually hung around the hotspot temps, more or less. Last game I played before the teardown was CS2 and mem temps was around 65ish if I remember, maybe a little cooler.
I was just wondering if anyone knew the reason why this would be the case? I’d expect to see the junction temp way out of line, especially since I’m running +1000 OC on them. I’ve had it like this for a few months now since I’ve had the card, so not sure if I should do any sort of testing for damage.
