The previous owner had their entire OS installed on the HDD which is likely why they sold it for so cheap, and contrary to the listing description their entire OS was left on the HDD. The windows OOBE was on the NVME drive. I wiped everything and added 3 of my own 500GB Samsung 850 EVO SATA SSDs to the empty 2.5inch slots inside the PC. I also upgraded the NVME drive to a Kingston 500GB NV1 which was much faster and had more storage than the original SSD. Kept the HDD for low speed storage like music and photos.
The GPUs have an SLI bridge attached to them, and surprisingly forcing SLI on some games (like Minecraft) works well. I think I’m the only person using SLI in 2024 😅
I made sure to give the pc a good dust, contrary to what the listing said the PC was filled with dust, even stuff that doesn’t usually get airflow like the feet of the PC.
Overall a great find.

You might actually see a slight DECREASE in performance with two cards in modern games, due to a fundamental lack of SLI support in some titles. If I were you, I’d just toss that 2nd card into another system entirely, or just let it sit on a shelf. That being said, there are a lot of older titles and even a few modern ones that can do a lot with SLI, although keep in mind that due to the way SLI memory pools work, you essentially still only have 8GB of effective VRAM which will bottleneck performance a bit in many cases. I would be interested to see what this thing scores in a synthetic test like Firestrike that can take full advantage of the hypothetical performance of the two cards.
NV1 can be QLC crap and definitely not an upgrade.
Sell one of the 1080’s because sli sucks, sell the cpu, motherboard and ram, grab a B450M Prime II, a used R5 3600, and a $30 ddr4 ram kit, and you have a very decent 1080p system for about the same price overall.
Bro, do you have a youtube channel? Would be fun to see a single 1080 vs SLI experiment in 2024. xD
Nah. **TWO** 1080s? With the rest of everything for $300?
Holy shitfuck.
Is that an Alienware? Oh god. Careful for that.
fair price I’d say
Damn a pc for the price of the new tarkov edition
