This exact thing happened to me today for the first time. I was lucky enough to be able to chute back into bounds in time, but I was sweating it big time, especially as there are no indicators as to which way to go and you don’t really have time to look around. And I lost containment levels for the first time yesterday, also for the first time. I don’t play constantly, but I almost solely do MWZ and I’m over level 400, so it’s not like I’ve never played.

I’ve had that happen a few times. If the screen hasn’t transitioned to the Exfil complete screen as soon as the chopper starts tilting, you just need to jump out and call another one.

Your first mistake was moving so much once you got in the helicopter.
LPT: once you get on the helicopter and starts to takes off. Stop moving. Not even to crouch or move up. If you do the game will glitch in some manner and you’ll be screwed.

Op knew something was up and sat in exfil. Watched other person disappear, then turned around and watched as he went further and further away. Even if it was a bug how many signs were needed to tell you that you should jump. All of them and the out of bounds sign lol.
