31 kills Rebirth solos with off-meta Holger 556 build

Holger 556 build:
– Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor
– Barrel: Banner-80 Light Barrel
– Stock: RB Addle Assault Stock
– Optic: JAK Glassless
– 40 round mag

Striker 9 build:
– Muzzle: L4R Flash Hider
– Barrel: Striker Stubby Barrel
– Underbarrel: XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop
– No Stock
– 50 round mag

I tried to like the meta Holger build (long barrel + Spiritfire suppressor + underbarrel) but I find it so painfully slow for Rebirth. The ADS speed on that is LMG level. It just didn't work for me at all.

I've been playing a lot recently with the .300 blackout MCW as my primary weapon, which made me realise that (for solos at least) bullet velocity and damage range are less important for my playstyle than fast ADS speed. So I built the Holger to my playstyle. This build has nearly SMG level ADS speed so I can use it in much closer range fights than I could the meta build. The bullet velocity is passable for Rebirth. As an added bonus, short-barreled rifles look cooler and that's really half the battle 😁

The other benefit of that is that I didn't need my SMG to be able to cover the awkward mid-range, so I could go all-in on movement speed with the Striker 9. This build is fun as hell, you're absolutely flying around the map with it. Word of warning though – definitely a controller gun!! You really just want to get up close and personal and let aim assist work its magic with this one because the visual recoil is… less than good!

Just a fun loadout and proof that the generic meta builds you see on YouTube etc might not always be the personal meta for you. Give it a try if you like Resurgence solos!
