Cod 4, Halo 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed, Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, God of War 2, Rock Band, Guitar Hero 3, Crysis, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, Portal, Half Life 2 Ep 2, Team Fortress 2, Uncharted, The Witcher, Phantom Hourglass, Forza 2, and probably a bunch more that I’m forgetting. 2007 was hands down the best year ever in gaming period, not just FPS. And it isn’t even close.

COD4 was the first game I installed on my new PC back in like 7th grade. Was blown away by how good it looked and played, also had a great story. Still looks good today and the game’s atmosphere is up there with Bioshock for me, especially the All Ghillied Up mission. Fun times!

I’m taking a friend through the Halo series because he had never played them before. We did them 1-3, ODST, and just started Reach, which is what I’m most excited to replay. After doing the first three missions, I asked him what he thought about Reach. He just goes, “I mean, it just seems like another shooter.” Okay, but what about the story? The characters are great, love the way Noble One shot down Dr. Hansley. “There doesn’t seem to be much of a story. ” … I don’t know how to feel about this.
I still love the series. The music alone is worth replaying again.
