This was a Nvidia demonstration on how a GPU performs processes compared to a CPU. Before this they had a single paintball gun shooting each individual cell on after another. This was to show how much more efficiently a GPU can perform multiple processes at once.

If they didn’t have to spend so much on R&D or high quality components, or even marketing, they would certainly lower their prices. Why? Because they love us.

Their SGA expenses are a little less than a third of R&D expenses, so yeah I’m gonna say marketing isn’t even close to the costs of R&D + production.
