I mean when the games graphics start looking close to real life with the amount of detail I can imagine that takes a lot of time. There is also the fact that GTA V has online which gave it longevity.

10 years is a bit much, but I would rather have them breaking new ground and waiting more, than having a bland sequel every 2 years.

A lot of the ‘releases’ here would just be dlc to the base game in this hi speed internet age of online focused gaming.
Not to mention the amount of content gta online pumps out in a year clears any of those games.
the amount of content gta online has put out to date clears ALL of those games combined. And that’s just at face value without getting into how much better the content and experience actually is

How is everyone so convinced that every single company making money is doing so out of pure greed and not enough to stay afloat?
If gta 6 was supposed to take 12 years,how the fuck were the teams expected to be paid during that time?

I don’t mind tbh. I’d rather wait and have something groundbreaking. More time has passed now from GTA V to now than San andreas to V. But games have progressed far less in that time. San Andreas mechanics were ancient by the time V came, where as V doesn’t really feel dated at all.
