This made me laugh out loud and then feel like I wanted to cry.

Wait… you guys aren’t doing this? I just download the specs from intel website every generation and build my own cpu.

Holy crap, it’s really this simple?

Whenever someone would complain about CPU prices, I’d think about the amount of effort it would take to actually make one from scratch. You find yourself outside mining silicon, all of the sudden a few hundred bucks for a ready-made product seems like a steal.

I always build my cpus then eat them

I’ve done this but should warn people to have realistic expectations.

The 7800x3d I created only achieves about 80 to 90 % of the performance of a factory 7800x3d and it looks like it does not have alot of overclocking potential. I’ll try making a 14900K this afternoon and let you know how it turns out.

Cpu and memory of any type is literally black magic and you cant convince me otherwise

I wonder what his favorite Linux command is.

As the YouTube comments say, “we tricked a rock into thinking by shining light onto it”.
