Even though I didnt like most of the radio tracks, it was diverse. And thats what matters for immersion, not going full cyberpunk.
Also can we finally get rid of this association of cyberpunk+synthwave? Yes I get it, cyberpunk originates in the 80s, like synth based music. But its so overdone by now that its a boring cliche to have Kavinsky – Nightcall play as soon as you see a wedge shaped sports car and neon lights.
Synthwave+cyberpunk has been done so often that by now everyone is doing the same. But cyberpunk offers so many interesting ideas to play with. Synthwave is the lowest hanging fruit there

The original Bladerunner had a very jazzy soundtrack by Vangelis, so Cyberpunk and Jazz have always sort of fit together in my head.
as a big fan of Chet Baker, I was just driving trought the city during night-time and when Chet Baker started playing, I literally stopped my car and remained there, silent, just listening

As a smooth jazz lover (I know) I love playing royal blue station at night riding around the city in the rain on a bike.

Yknow I should listen to blue royal or whatever the jazz channel was more. I usually stick to the dirge and body heat and played a little bit of night fm for synthwave. Jazz will definitely freshen things up

During the gig Olive Branch, I like to drive at a normal pace, not too quickly, sometimes just taking a scenic route, letting Alex Pushkin listen to Royal Blue for a while. I figure that he deserves it. 😊

It was nutty enough that they made Takemura listen to jazz radio (dude probably isn’t born yet,) but Reed? They put in an entire station of Idris Elba’s own music into the game with PL.
