I thought the two shared a lot of resemblance both in appearance and personality. Is it too far a stretch?
(For reference the one on the right is The Illusive Man from Mass Effect 2)

I wouldn’t be surprised if Mr Blue Eyes was somewhat of a reference to The Illusive Man. They do have similar goals, both believe that they can save humanity, but they have malicious ways to achieve that goal. Although I find MBE closer to The Patriots from Metal Gear Solid in how they want to take over one’s free will.

I just thought it goes without saying that he is like Illusive Man. 🙂

  3. I mean, yeah. But they’re both also a reference to the same trope: Man in Black. A secretive operative of a clandestine quasi-governmental agency with obscure goals, appearing to people only when necessary to move forward their agenda.

I mean it’s interesting they both also embody the idea of a futuristic no-tie formal look… but that part could just be coincidence.

  4. They both represent the same, insidious end: the domination of humanity….by the toasters.

    All hail our toaster overlords.

100% thought of this, I thought everyone would think the same, since they are basically identical, glowing blue eyes, mysterious, extremely wealthy and powerful, morally ambiguous… if its not a reference then its the biggest coincidence ever

Who knows, maybe in the Cyberpunk universe the Reapers do exist and are using the AIs beyond the Blackwall to start infiltrating Earth’s societies and be ready to Attack in the right Moment

I have had this take for quite some time now

Also reminds me of Morden from Babylon 5.
