Could graphical artifacts when alt tabbing be related to a bad GPU


Hi,

I know this is somewhat off topic for overclocking but i figured if anybody has experienced artifacts it would be people tuning their hardware

A PC i recently built seems to be getting artifacts when alt tabbing out of Illustrator or when panning inside the view port, and i dont even know where to begin troubleshooting it

Specs:

gpu: MSI GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER VENTUS 2X OC 12GB GDDR6X 192-bit

cpu: i5 13500

ram: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 6000MHz CL36 Dual Channel

mobo: GIGABYTE B760M GAMING X AX

cooler: Scythe Fuma 3

case: Deepcool CH370

storage: Seagate FireCuda 520 2TB PCI Express 4.0 x4

psu: Chieftec Polaris 750W 80+ Gold

The PC is using the latest nvidia studio drivers

    im mostly looking for ideas of where i could even begin troubleshooting this, i’ve checked that the hardware is gpu is properly seated

    If it’s mainly in situations like that I’d be leaning towards the cable or drivers before suspecting the GPU.
