From what I recall, it is a pretty fun book. But I’m not sure it is cyberpunk. Fun though.

If you read it and you like it , then it is favorable. Stop looking to other people to validate and make decisions for you. You got a book for .50, so I would imagine it is pretty hard to come out at a loss.

Let me know what you think of it. I got the first four books in the series for free at dragon con several years ago but I’ve never bothered to even open them 🤓

One of my favorite sci-fi series, if you enjoy military centric sci-fi it should be favorable. It’s not really cyberpunk in my mind but I can see the arguments so if it works it works.

No idea, man, but it looks f**king brilliant 😂What is she even holding? An old man otter?

More Space Opera than Cyberpunk. More utopian in it theming than high tech low life. If you took the naval warfare of Britain and Spain an put it in space, this is what you get. There is politics, back stabling, duels, large and small fleet actions. I personally like it and am on the last available book in the series, book 15. So I have definitely got my enjoyment out of it.

SciFi, not inherently CyberPunk.

I like the series the missiles in that are my fav weapons in Sci fi, its mad how they don’t show up much in Sci fi.

Books like this always gave me a lot of hope as an aspiring novelist.

Great book and series. Not at all cyberpunk. This is Tom Clancy in Space.

Wouldn’t put it under cyberpunk. fun if you are into space battle strategy, otherwise… don’t expect high literature.

If MCR and Star Trek had a baby

Very decent sci-fi book, but not cyberpunk. Read it none the less, it’s worth it.

The Honor Harrington series is one of the more prominent book series in the genre of ‘Military Science Fiction’. I would personally judge military fiction one of the furthest things from punk fiction. Cyberpunk isn’t always anti-establishment and counter-culture but I think its part of the core of its spirit. But Military Sci-Fi is most definitely not about individualism and self expression. Its about conforming to and protecting systems and governments.
Again, in my personal judgement.

I think it’s bad space opera personally. Did not finish it.
BeardedDeath
My grandfather was really into this series before he passed. From what I’ve seen it would just be regular scifi or space opera, not specifically cyberpunk.
That being said, I really like Weber’s fantasy work The War Gods
MarsAlgea3791
Honor Harrington is in no way cyberpunk.
But it’s really great military science fiction if you don’t mind/like it modeled after 19th century British naval warfare. It’s Horatio Hornblower in space. With a telepathic space cat.
dasnoob
This is not anywhere close to cyberpunk.
The first few books are good space sci-fi. Then they get bogged down in Weber’s insistence on infodumps in his books.
watanabe0
That isn’t cyberpunk. It’s military SF.
MaddMax92
This is space opera, not cyberpunk.
Having said that, it’s a lot of fun and I highly recommend it

Not so much cyberpunk. Hard Sci Fi Space Navy, but I absolutely Love the series.
Definitely not Cyberpunk. military fiction, space opera, sure. but not cyberpunk.
That being said, I liked the series mostly. I got bored around 13-14 (I think its been a while) His writing for very repetitive. His descriptions of space combat. The number of times he explained how the gravity wedge was impenetrable, just started grating at me by that point.
Any_Weird_8686
Military sci-fi, not really Cyberpunk. Well worth a read, though.
ForgotMyPassword17
Fun series but the main series isn’t very cyberpunk.
Cyberpunk? Absolutely not. Space opera? You’re in for a real good time, there is a LOT to that universe.
GI_gino
It’s more like Mil SF than cyberpunk. Think age of sail warfare but in space. Personally, I couldn’t get into it but for 50 cents you’re not risking much

The [Crown of Slaves](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honorverse#Crown_of_Slaves_series) spinoff is closer to cyberpunk with spies fighting genetically modified ubermensch, evil mega corps fighting good mobster based governments.
