Tbh I see what cod is doing

They know their game is alive because of streaming and that’s essentislly it

So they add these skins with cool assassination animations so streamers will buy the king Kong glove so they can make clip bait for tik tok of them ounching someone out a window

  2. CoD players are just one step away from being FIFA players. Change my mind.

  3. PrimeLimeSlime

That seems more along the lines of a macro transaction.

  4. RashiBigPp

Can we just call those things macrotransactions already? Aint nothing micro about it

  5. Headline: players say item costs too much money

OP: players deserve to be scammed because they play game

    What?

  6. illmatication

It doesn’t matter it’ll still sell

  7. Downtown_Snow4445

Stopped playing shitty cod years ago. Good for mental health

  8. IJustJason

Its not even microtransaactions anymore. Just “transactions”.

  9. Lord_Zalthos

We’ve gotten to the point of macrotransactions, haven’t we

  10. DatOne8BitCharacter

That’s what Activision Copium and Dickriding do to a mf

  11. DougDimmaDoom

The glove is a bonus if you buy all Godzilla Kong skins.

  12. thomas2400

Anyone buying outfits for a first person shooter where you don’t see your character needs help or has enough money to waste without it being a problem for them

  13. xchainlinkx

All Activision Blizzard players deserve this trash

  14. IamlostlikeZoroIs

Anything you can buy with cod points isn’t worth it…

  15. GuiltyGlow

I wouldn’t say they’re getting scammed. They know exactly what they’re buying. I view most CoD and sports gamers the same way I do those elderly people you’ll see in casinos playing slot machines for like 8 hours straight. They’re just sad, addicts.

  16. AvaranIceStar

You have to admire the company for knowing how stupid their players are and capitalizing on it, though.

  17. meatball402

I haven’t played COD in years, how fucked are the microtransactions? The gloves that cost more than a game give me a good idea, but what other kinds of bullshit is on there?

  18. nonsense193749

I can’t imagine anyone other than the Tik Tok generation who’s brains are so rotted to the point of no return buying this garbage. They are the same ones flipping burgers yet donate money and gift subs to streamers and influencers making six figures.

  19. AnAngryBartender

The fuck is a king kong glove? Man, CoD has lost its way

  20. makewowgreatagain11

Wait until people find out about prices of CSGO/CS2 skins…..
And before anyone jumps that it isn’t sold directly by Valve (owned by Steam): to open items it’s $2.50+tax for a key to open a case with a small chance of a good item then every market sale on Steam market, Steam takes a cut from sale. Selling a $500 knife/gloves from user to user over Steam with a 5% cut each time starts adding upppp

  21. ShouldersofGiants127

I root for Activision and these companies to do headass shit like this at this point because why the fuck would anyone want to buy that at any price?

If gamers wanna be fucking idiots then I’m all for these devs cashing in on it. Ain’t my money they getting

  22. Geeseareawesome

They’ll complain and buy it anyway. As is tradition.

  23. Ruthless4u

    Kong glove?

It’s the power glove or nothing.

  24. feelin_fine_

What’s the scam? They know what they’re getting and they knew what it costs. A scam implies deceit.

  25. JohnnyJayce

Are there any microtransactions that are worth buying?

  26. JesseWest

CoD players are capable of thinking? Holy shit

  27. iamadventurous

If we could find out who bought this and remove them from society and put them on an isolated island, the world would be a better place.

  28. old_weakTurtle

I don’t understand why anyone would want a King Kong gauntlet or whatever in a FPS game especially when it cost you more than the fucking game itself.

  29. warrencanadian

I mean, it’s… it’s a skin. It’s like complaining about how any of the Rainbow Six skins you get for buying the season pass ‘Cost $40’ but don’t do anything. Of course they fucking don’t do anything, they’re virtual Barbie dressup. It’s not even a scam, it’s people being too fucking stupid to know what they’re buying.

  30. pierogieking412

To be fair most COD players aren’t being scammed by this at all since you have to go seek it out and then take the steps to purchase.

  31. fordprefect294

None of the BS they buy should be worth buying with actual currency. But here we are

  32. Oct0Ph3oNYx

So let me rewind, you pay MORE than the “””game””” itself, for some glove ? When the next year its gonna be “haha lol look new cod but its one year later and also MORE TRANSACTION NEEDED” (sorry but its how I see modern cod)
When for the same price you can have the good old cod or even have for free Cod bo2 with plutonium, dedicated communuty server and a free account with all dlcs and all multiplayer unlocks, I wondered what I will chose

  33. Throwaway_account930

Hot take: I don’t blame people for buying unlock all tools after spending 70 dollars on game that wasn’t even polished at release not to mention this game was supposed to be an expansion to MWII 2022.
