Bioshock was one of the first games that made me just stop and appreciate the beauty of the environment.

[OP then posts one of the most boring, generic shots from an otherwise gorgeous game]

I’ve never managed to play through Bioshock, tried multiple times but the map layout always confused me and had me running in circles.

  3. So you took a screenshot of a table and a wall

If you want a game that is full ambient storytelling play Dark Souls/Bloodborne.

If you just play the games and that’s it you will have no fucking clue what’s going on. If you take your time and you actually read the items and pay attention to said items you will discover how DEEP the story/lore is and how directly connects to the player and if you’re very aware, you will notice certain locations that are named here and there through the games.

If only it would have the gameplay to go with it.

I’ve never finished a single BioShock title. I was always hooked by the very unique setting, but the gameplay in all 3 installments was very mediocre.

If only Irrational Games didn’t shut down we could’ve gotten another great Bioshock game

Great vibe especially with the underwater views

    “beautiful environment”

Proceeds to post the most bland , uninteresting picture possible.

Same! I also couldn’t play it at night because it scared the shit out of me

Bioshock has aged quite well in the graphics department. The original game still looks great today.

It adds beautifully to that vibe and creepiness of the art , world and time..

It was probably Metroid Prime for me.

I think about Banjo-Kazooie, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Stalker, Fallout…just a few

I loved the original bioshock it was truly beautiful, but it brought a tear to my eye the first time I popped through the clouds and saw Colombia for the first time.

    Three…two…one…hallelujah

Just look at that corpse on the table, the tasteful thickness of it.

Oh my god. It even has a watermark. 😪

  16. One game that I will never forget. I was so mind blown when I played it. Remarkable art style with art nouveau and those creepy oldie sounds. Loved the plot and everything connected to that world. Still on my top 5.

The System Shock remake will scratch that Bioshock itch. Just bought it on Steam and it is PHENOMENAL

I remember it has one of my favorite jump scares because of how simple yet effective it was.

Facing an object of interest, interact, then just turn around and there’s an enemy right behind you.

Fallout 3 was the one for me the first time. I still love both franchises don’t get me wrong.

This game came at a weird time when all I was playing was Guitar Hero. In fact, I was at Best Buy purchasing the latest GH game when I saw the display for this new game called Bioshock. I’d never heard of it but it looked interesting, so I went ahead and bought it on a whim. It’s been my favorite game of all time ever since.

Bioshock 3 with the cloud city was the best.

Never played ,but might give it a try

The environmental storytelling is from another world. If you happen to know another game with this characteristics please let me know
