Every Map Ever Tournament Update

Just wanted to give you guys an update on the tournament. The first round is officially over and now we are moving on to the second round, the round of 32. Lot of good matchups coming up. Just wanted to point out some highlights of the first round.

1. Die Maschine is loved by the community. I personally wasn’t much of a fan of Die Maschine. (Only one armor station. Weak intro to new story and boring Easter egg. Boss fight is underwhelming and no ending cutscene. Die wonder weapon variants didn’t feel strong or better than the original.) I didn’t hate the map but preferred Alpha Omega. Well you guys adore this map as this poll got the most votes out of any of the first round polls. Der Eisendrache vs Die Maschine will be an insane 2nd round matchup.

2. Some games are completely wiped from the tournament. Not a single map or mode from the following games moved on… Advanced Warfare, Ghosts, Vanguard, or MWZ. I am not too surprised as these games aren’t viewed very kindly but I will say I do personally feel some maps should have moved on but I do get it. Will discuss that in the following points.

3. Extinction is not zombies and this is the zombies subreddit but Nightfall and Mayday are genuinely good experiences.

4. I get no one likes Vanguard, myself included, but in my opinion, Shi No Numa Reborn is the best version of Shi No Numa to date. Very interesting that it lost to Outbreak which is not a round based mode. I feel like that is more a protest of Vanguard and calling out Activision for being lazy but maybe I am wrong. Maybe you guys genuinely prefer Outbreak.

5. Meanwhile Modern Warfare Zombies lost in the first round to… Nacht. I have my gripes with this one but do get it. Nacht is more nostalgic and made zombies what it is today. With that being said in the year 2024 I would much rather prefer to play MWZ to Nacht as it has way more content. Which is funny to say since MWZ is ripped for not having a lot of content. Is MWZ better than Outbreak I think so. There is a good chance it just drew the short straw going up against the OG in the first round.

6. Shadows of Evil had a massive blowout of the Vanguard map Archon making it a favorite to win it all. Not surprising but just worth noting.

7. Lastly Classified beat Transit but it was close. Transit has gotten some love over the years as people are starting to see redeeming qualities in the map and the character it did have.

Most Dominant Win: Die Maschine over Alpha Omega
Closest Matchups: Verruckt vs Five and Rave in the Redwoods vs Frozen Dawn
Best Map Eliminated: Mayday (Extinction)
Worst Map Moving On: Die Rise
