Fallout 76 first released in 2018 embroiled in controversy. Between deceptive marketing, micro transactions, and a complete lack of non-robotic NPCs, many were disappointed with the game. However, the year is 2024, and Bethesda has released 18 major updates for Fallout 76, with the latest being Expeditions: Atlantic City America’s Playground. With all of these updates, and the recent release of Amazon’s Fallout show, Dave Klein stepped into the vault of Fallout 76 for the very first time to see if it’s worth playing for someone new.

so tldr play it with friends or play fallout 4 alone…
Is it crossplay between pc and consoles?
Lots of awful tales in this video, also seems clueless as how to games work in many cases.
dudes using a controller to play an online shooter with low aim assist, lule
76 is so fun if you know how to actually make fallout builds
As somone who hates online games, Fallout 76 is the only game i actually enjoy. its janky but i love exploring its world and little stories it hides undeneath the jank
New players NEED better, more reliable starter weapons, having to use pipe pistol until youre level 20 is rediculous for a live service game.
I cant even take this guy seriously, he didnt play fallout 4 or suffer on the launch of 76. Cant believe they let him do this video
There’s actually a lot of stuff in the nuke-a-cola compound. There is a keycard system that unlocks bunkers & gives you rare skins for power armor. Also a history of nuke-a-cola because fallout 76 is a pre-quill to the other fallout games Bethesda said in their conference. If you’re into the lore it’s actually a pretty interesting location.
It' feels empty because the original story had you discovering that everyone was killed by the scorch plague. They were all supposed to be robots. People were upset so they redid the story completely.
The gun play is actually really good once you specialize and get a good weapon. Going stealth commando with a Fixer is fun af, especially at community events.
No
To answer his question, in my opinion the end game is the best part. Hunting for schematics you don't have yet to searching for the best legendary for your build, and on top of that despite what he said I have come across many quests by just exploring, for instance the nukashine quest line was pretty good and it was a pre wastelanders thing. Sure 76 has a lot of problems still but theres a lot of enjoyment to get out of it.
Play fallout 4
This one is terrible
Bought it at launch played it once and shelved it the same day and never turnt back
Okay, so I played a few hours of this game and, while I didn't enjoy it per se, a lot of this is just not true or maybe this guys opinion, I guess?
This is an ad.
This isnt content creation. Its an ad.
Dont be fooled.
You went for the wrong fallout game, though, Fallout 4 was the way to go.
So should i get this or fallout 4?
Bro didn’t even do the main questline such a unfair review
All they had to do was make fallout coop. Instead they made pvp, heavy micro transactions, monthly subscription, and just a bad fallout game that’s meant to empty your wallet. It missed the charm of the old ones, if they would’ve just made it coop only with npcs on launch, game would’ve been great.
ok if you enjoy helldivers 2, idk if this video tells much to me at all. That game has an even worse gameplay loop, if it even has one. I got my 2hr refund after a couple runs. 76 might be fun so.
The amount of ads in this video is actually making me go insane
Modded fallout 4 is goat
I tried to like 76 but just couldn't. It was a constant struggle and after a few days I gave up.
And I've played most of the franchise: Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout Tactics, Fallout 4 and even the atrocious Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel (which was my least liked game in the franchise BEFORE I played before 76). I also think the best game is New Vegas, followed close by 3 and then 4. Fallout 4 had a bit too much focus on building for me considering item collision/deletion was so bad (all building is way better on PC with the right mods installed though).
