Hi all. I am going to build my computer desk with Karlby butcher block and Alex drawers from Ikea. I will be getting the 74inch countertop. For people who have the same set up, does the desk start sagging in the middle because of weight? If so, how do you circumvent that? Including the picture I found online as a reference. Thanks.

Yes, after 1.5 years for me. Got a 70cm free standing leg and put it in the middle

Personally what I did to prevent it from sagging was put a standing desk frame on it in between the two drawers. 2 in 1 fix. No sagging, and you can change the height of the desk to whatever you want. Gives it a floating look like in the above picture without having to attach those legs to the top of the drawers.
