tiles and ceramic surfaces have very small and sharp points, when these small sharp points encounter tempered glass, they can concentrate a lot of pressure into a small area, resulting in the glass shattering.

How does this happen? You leave it on a tile floor and then it randomly goes BOOSH?
I know this sounds strange, but seeing tempered glass shards is satisfying, makes you wonder how different glass types were discovered.

First off make sure it’s up off the ground permanently, at least a foot on a small stand. You are going to get more dust down there.
