It’s a game changer – I just toggled it on recently too. Idk why it’s set to off by default.

Bro I just cleaned all NCPD gigs…

Yeah it was like that by default before some patch

Perfect for an undercover/cyber detective play through.

Those holocalls were infamous in the game’s early months.
I can’t believe I’m saying this like the game came out two human generations ago, but you couldn’t go anywhere in NC without these holocalls interrupting what you were doing and blocking you from doing literally anything except listen to said holocalls while walking at the minimum speed allowed.
That is also why they’re set to off by default, even with the game’s raft of launch problems this was a major detriment to quality of life, because 99% of the content that was being pointed out by these calls amounted to nothing more than “defeat 4-6 gangoons and pick up a text log from a bag/corpse in the vicinity.”

I swear too I was getting spammed with text messages from fake spammers and holo callers from the police when the game first came out.

Well dang, here I am 1/3 through all the NCPD missions in my playthrough and I just learned this. Why would it be off by default?

They were so annoying at launch. It’s been so long I forgot about them but there is still a way to enable them from the settings.

I have 500 hours in that game, all logged in the first month of 2.0. This is also news to me.

I never found it annoying but I guess a lot of people did which is why they made it a setting and turned it off. I like 2.0 but I’m not entirely sure I like it more than the original game. Feels like so long ago but I actually preordered Cyberpunk 2077. Been playing since day one
