Haven’t used the desktop for as long as I remember. It’s either pinned to the taskbar or I’m using the search function. Don’t get me wrong though my desktop is still a clusterfuck.

I mean I don’t use the desktop exept as a temporary stop for my downloads, and I use file explorer anyways in that case so not showing desktop icons is the way

I don’t have to clean or organize it since I only have 4 icons on the desktop, and one is a folder with all my games.

Hide icons + hide task bar. This way I can dedicate 100% of my screen space to my waifus from wallpaper engine

You use the desktop?.
Mine is empty for wallpaper engine.

I haven’t used my desktop for years, option 3 for me. Programs I frequently use I pinned to taskbar, others I just search for. Really don’t see the need to have desktop icons, it’s just preference or habit imo.

I stopped using the desktop when I got myself an OLED and it actually made me organize my PC and just pin the stuff I use to the taskbar. Highly recommend
