Just got the new cpu, the first thing I tried was Cinebench and it insta crashes, tested with a 13900k and it's all good, same parts.
When I change the CPU Current Limit to something like 300A or lower it is stable but the core speed plunders to like 5 to 5.1ghz, even my 13900k is faster at that point.
Temps are fine, I can run the 13900k at 5.5ghz just fine cinebench is 75 degrees, the issue is with the 14900ks.
Motherboard: msi z790 ace max, latest bios A33
Ram: 4x16gb 6400mhz running at 4000mhz (stock)
PSU: nzxt c1200
Cooler: Cooler Master Pl360 Flux

You guys think could be the motherboard even though the cpu runs fine when lowering the current limit and even if the 13900k runs fine with unlimited current?
Hey I’m about to get mine delivered tomorrow , do you think it’s just a faulty cpu cause this same thing was happening with my 14900k… I might just go back to 13900 if so…
