Hey everyone,

I like challenges, my rules were:

+ basic MOBO, ASUS TUF Gaming B550M+ Wi-Fi (daisy-chain topology, 3 layers PCB?)
+ 4 sticks: 2 x 2 x 16 GB Dual-rank G.SKILL Neo 3600 MHz (16-19-19-36-58 XMP)
+ don't know how to OC (I had some experience from old times, therefore the challenge, thank you for this awesome community 🤟)

After weeks of trying and almost settling at 3600 with tight timings compared to the XMP profile, today I finally found the right settings and was able to boot up safely.

This is another ~10% plus to my previous results with 3600 Mhz tight/extreme timings, I am quite delighted.

The dusty friend

The road was painful but worth it, the last key elements were:

– disabling spectrum, XMP profile, integrated WiFi & sound
– PBO curve: +200, -20 -18 -24 -24 -20 -24 -20 -24
– PPT 130W, TDC 90A, EDC 120A
– PROC ODT 40Ω, bus strengths 24Ω 20Ω 24Ω 24Ω
– slightly higher DIMM voltages –> 1.38V
– VSOC 1.125V, VDDP 0.93V, CCD 0.96V, IOD 1.001V
– actively cooling the second DIMM with the Noctua secondary cooler (I cut two 1.5 mm rubber from the washing machine's rubber carpet and put them between the heatsink and the NF-P12, this way it reaches the DIMM2 and the air gets sucked from the memories)

Now my question is, will I be able to reach the same settings with a 5900X/5950X? I have a fear I could get a worse IMC. What are your thoughts?

Had a very similar challenge myself which I just finished yesterday:

    4×16 3600 15-19-19-36 1.45v
