When you get three duplicates, it will refresh the item into a new one

When you get your first duplicate one of those empty squares will turn orange, indicating you got one duplicate, you can’t do anything with them, unlike BO3 that allowed you to exchange duplicates for keys, in this game however, the moment you geg 3 duplicates it’ll inmediately roll you a duplicate protected item, so something you don’t have.

Meaning that unlike BO3 it’s actually possible to get every item, because every 3 duplicates you’re guaranteed a new thing.

There’re also duplicate protected items for 2 crates that rotate every few houses, or you can buy a bigger crate that costs 6 but gives you 3 duplicate protected items, so again it costs 2 for each guaranteed new item.

My advice is that rn since you’re still not getting dupes, keep buying them for 1, meaning 1 gives you a new item, eventually when you have so many items you’re just constantly getting dupes it’s best to switch to paying 2 per guaranteed item instead of paying 3, it’s up to you to decide when to make the switch. I’d say if you get 9 duplicates in a row, it’s time to switch to the guaranteed ones only.

Another thing I’d recommend is to not buy these yet, instead save up for bundles that give you 5% tier boost which will in the long run make you earn these faster you can get up to 25% boost so you’ll have to get 5 bundles, their cost varies, the cheapest ones cost 30 and the more you’ll ever pay for one go them is 65, though I’ve only seen one 65 bundle most of them are 52. And there’re some in the middle, so my advice is to save up for these, I say have at least 30 on your inventory at all times so you can get one of the cheap ones when it shows up. Also if you’re interested on the melee weapons, they cost 35 each, there’re 6 melee weapons not available on the reserves all with their own camo and level grind. There’re also another 3 that were in the Battle Passes in the past, I don’t know how you’d get them now if you missed them, maybe they’re also available for 35 like the other ones, so in total there’s 9 melee weapons outside of reserves, and 1 on the reserves.

I’m personally going for the 25% boost and all the melees, and then I’ll start spending on reserves.

Only missing 2 boosts and 2 melees now.

When you open cases individually sometimes you’ll open duplicate items – when you open 3 duplicates it’ll reroll into a dupe-protected item.

That said, you should save 50 cases and buy a weapon bribe. It gives you either 3 or 5 dupe protected crates which are 3 items each.
