It’s never going to happen.
I understand this is a meme, but unless someone can hack ZEN 4 to work with DDR4 it’s never going to happen. I believe the last time any manufacturer released a socket compatible upgrade that was actually a chip from a different CPU family entirely was back in 2015 with the i7-5775c.

that’s..hard to do i guess, i mean not really hard i guess, but hard nonetheless. They would spend a shit load of millions to basically create new cpus for older slots because the connections are simply very different, so it’s not even close to far away from being worth it business wise. But am4 will get the 5000gt cpus soon.. they are not done with am4 apparently yet, but bringing zen4 on am4 is not a good idea.
so you will be able to choose from ryzen 5 5700 (8/16t 20 mb cache), 5500/5600gt (6/12t 19 mb cache, .2 ghz difference)
