The 4600g is pretty mid but alright. Probably could have gone with a 2400G for 20 CAD and spent the rest on a used 1080/ti

Welcome to “budget but good enough PC” family
week ago I also built a budget gaming PC:
-B450MHP (new),
-Ryzen 5 5600(new),
-RX7600 (new),
-16GB (8×2) 3200mhz (new),
-120 GB SATA SSD for OS (new, temporary),
-600W PSU (new)
-1TB + 320GB SATA HDD (used)
It was around 400 bucks
And I got a PC case straight from Socket A era (yes, it is rusty because it was in grandfather’s basement for 20 years)
Edit: holy crap, this PC case been in the basement as long as I’ve been alive
I don’t usually like one-upping, but as long as your parts come in boxes it’s not super budget lol.
Don’t know why everyone is ragging on the new parts not being budget. I think not risking getting broken shit is just a different tier of budget build.

I 100% believe that anyone looking for a cheap build for a kid/teen should go with an APU and upgrade with a GPU after that. The performance is pretty good
