And I got a PC case straight from Socket A era (yes, it is rusty because it was in grandfather’s basement for 20 years)
Edit: holy crap, this PC case been in the basement as long as I’ve been alive

I don’t usually like one-upping, but as long as your parts come in boxes it’s not super budget lol.
Ragnaroknight
Don’t know why everyone is ragging on the new parts not being budget. I think not risking getting broken shit is just a different tier of budget build.
Stark_Athlon
You know…your case color slaps.
cheeeeeeers
Not a bad build for that money!
ThatFabio
I 100% believe that anyone looking for a cheap build for a kid/teen should go with an APU and upgrade with a GPU after that. The performance is pretty good
IHaveAssBurgers101
….i got a better budget build… went to home hardware and bought a tire iron for 23.99$ CAN ….
bonk

You paid 50 CAD for your RAM and 70 CAD for a 500GB WD Blue??
The 4600g is pretty mid but alright. Probably could have gone with a 2400G for 20 CAD and spent the rest on a used 1080/ti
TLDR it’s a good build and hope you enjoy it
Those parts don’t look second hand. So that’s only a super budget build.
not to be that guy but you could’ve done better tbh i would’ve gotten something like this

Welcome to “budget but good enough PC” family
week ago I also built a budget gaming PC:
-B450MHP (new),
-Ryzen 5 5600(new),
-RX7600 (new),
-16GB (8×2) 3200mhz (new),
-120 GB SATA SSD for OS (new, temporary),
-600W PSU (new)
-1TB + 320GB SATA HDD (used)
It was around 400 bucks
And I got a PC case straight from Socket A era (yes, it is rusty because it was in grandfather’s basement for 20 years)
Edit: holy crap, this PC case been in the basement as long as I’ve been alive

This is ULTRA super budget, dumpster tier

$70 for 500GB was an awful deal
I am confused. Why a520 and not b450? You are just throwing away free performance without saving money
You mean my Strix 4090, 14900K, 990 Pro, Corsair Dominator Plat 64gb, 360 mil AIO with 15 Lian Li INF fans isn’t budget? /s
I like posts like this 10x more than the $5,000 Lian Li shit
Spent too much on case and psu…
The case comes with a cup holder that’s lit🔥
Disagree.
A budget build should at least be able to run things.
Edit:
Besides DOS
Where 1600AF?
