Older dude Just thinking out loud here, potentially looking into streaming my gameplay. Need advice. 5+ KDR and 500+ wins.

First off, this isn’t a post to try to get subs.

I’m 37, work construction so I already have a 6 figure career with top of the line health insurance and a pension… but gaming has always been my passion. I’ve been playing FPS competitively since the quake 1 (quake world) days in the mid 90s. I was in a cal-m clan in counterstrike beta in the early 2000s, in an STA Gold clan in team fortress classic in the early 2000s. Moved onto COD in 2009 with MW2. Ended up with a 2.44Kdr. Fast forward to Black ops 4. 3.75 KDR. then I switched to pc for warzone 1.

I’m currently a Crimson 2 in ranked play. 5.7 KDR with over 500 wins so far. I’ve always been good at cod. I was a 4.4KDR in wz1 with over 1200 wins at a 34% W/L ratio.

I’m not a “character” like Dr. Disrepect or TimtheTatman. I’d say if I were to go down this path I would be leaning more towards a Metaphor style or Blue style. Not really using a face cam. Just good old fashioned gameplay. I know people tend to show more viewership towards people that are “characters” like Tim and Doc and obviously I’m super late to the game and the market is saturated, but is there still an audience out there that is interested in seeing decently high kill games and a lot of wins? Bonus points for being on mouse and key.

Is streaming the better option? Or taking a bunch of clips and making compilation videos?

Side note, during IcemanIsaacs 24 hr ranked grind a few days ago, I killed him and his buddy grimey around the 12 hour mark to win the game, the sheer look of disappointment on Isaac’s face was so worth it. Unfortunately after his 24hr stream concluded he deleted all of his prior videos for some reason? I was looking foreard to clipping that.
