Minsinformation according to whom? Is there a single source of unviersally accepted truth for this that everyone can refer to?
I was given a task to build a new PC for a friend a few weeks ago. We settled for a 7600x and 7800xt.
He was satisfied and convinced that that is it but still wanted another opinion just in case, so he went to his friend who “knows pc’s”.
Basically he wanted to convince him that his overclocked 8600k has the same performance so paying that much for a new processor would be a waste of money. That he should either go with intel or buy it from him because “he will get the same performance but for much less”.
After barrage of reputable benchmarks and stress tests from my side, he accepted defeat that user benchmark “wasnt what it used to be”.
Maybe a dumb question but putting the Reviews/bias aside, can you at least Use their Numbers as a rough estimate? Their Database ist quite vast thats why i like getting a rough Idea If i compare super old stuff no one Bothers to report about.
Lets say an i7-4790k vs an r5 3600
If they say that the r5 Is Like 6% Overall faster, is that Something where you could say ” yea its a bit faster seems accurate” or is it complete bullshit?

Once upon a time they cancelled my userbenchmark results because my results were too good for AMD (I did a run 4fun don’t judge xd)
Maybe I misread but wasn’t there a post mentioning the website wanted to try going to a subscription model? Or was that misinformation?
Either way. Sucks that AMD apparently murdered their entire family to the point they have this strange vendetta
One of the big things is they’re one of the few that was allowing free benchmarking. crappy data or not, thats why it got popular. I personally wish the whole website should be shutdown but no ones offering an alternative that’s close.
3D Benchmark also sucks IMO. oh hey you had this score, ok how does that compare to similar builds, WE DON’T KNOW BUT HERE’S A BUILD WITH A 4090 TO LOOK AT. DAFUQ!
