Here, I’ll start. This particular series had the best price to performance, the best reliability and the most impressive technological and performance leaps. The 1060 had more VRAM than he GTX 980 and 780Ti. Which were two flagships of the previous generations. And it shredded through anything at 1080p Ultra, and even some in 1440p medium-high.

    I had both GTX 1060 6GB and a GTX 1080 Ti.

Both were amazing & I remember them very fondly.

  3. Emergency-Employee64

Has the Titan Xp from the beginning until i sold it last year. It was a beast!!!

  4. I’ve got a 1060 in my spares, & still using my 1080Ti

I owned a p106-100 mining card once, pretty much a 1060 6gb with no video output. that thing ran cool and quiet and low power for a LONG time. my buddy is still rocking a 1080 TI and runs 1440p on new games lol

Had a 1050ti and it felt like I was ripped off almost immediately.

To be fair it was my own fault for not paying attention to the performance of them when checking reviews and getting the massively overpriced strix model. I fully intend to get the 1060 6gb but is was out of stock so I just bought what was available in my budget expecting slightly less performance not the massively less that was the reality.

Top tip: Don’t buy by name, buy with knowledge. Do your research.

Water cooled 1080Ti here, rock solid 2GHz, still nice for 1440p

  8. ripnburn69

For xmas. I sniped a 1080ti founders on ebay, built it a new AM4 system and moved in.

    fk the current gen.

  9. Alarmed_Wind_4035

I just upgraded my 1070 to 4060, best card I had amazing value.

  10. Jojoceptionistaken

Still great to get. Blower style cards are awesome!

  11. Rocking a 1070 rn, I feel spoiled since now prices seem (are) absurd. Don’t even feel the need to upgrade, but I know I’ll hane to now or then

  12. BathroomPresent69

I regret selling my MSI 1080TI gaming X to this day. One of my favorite cards of all time and I’ve had every gen of cards from different manufacturers

  13. KwispyNuggie

Currently have a 1070 in a prebuilt. It’s still going strong but starting to show its age.

  14. Stolen_Sky

I’m still rocking my GTX 1080! Going strong for 6 years now.

Not gunna lie, a little tiny part of me just wants it to give up the ghost and die, so I can upgrade to an RTX 4070 Super without any guilt that I’m wasting money. But the 1080 is not done yet.

  15. Bokkmann

My 1060 6GB Dell laptop still running well.

  16. GarGangg

Still got my Strix 1080. Having a hard time justifying a $700+ gpu when I can crush just about every game at 1080p.

  17. J-Bailey

    Still running a 1660ti, I don’t know if I buy a 3060, 4060ti or wait for Battlemage

  18. Shablagoosh

I’ve had an 8700k and 1080ti running since late 2017, just recently ordered a 7800x3d and 4070 super, little bittersweet feeling replacing the big guy. For some reason Amazon is back ordered on 7800x3ds for like a month though so one final send off for my 1080ti at least before the new rig.

  19. CarlWellsGrave

I’m once again telling you to get over it

  20. Sakuroshin

My gtx 1080 is retiring on monday. It’s the only card I have owned that didn’t die before being replaced. It started in my pc, then my wifes pc, then kids. Its currently in kid number threes pc, but he gets a new gpu on monday when I get my 4080 super and shuffle all the cards down.

1080ti will probably go down in history as one of the best price to performance cards ever. I really regret just getting a 1080, I thought a 1080ti would have been overkill despite it only being a little extra.

  22. theatomicflounder333

1080Ti was, is, and always will be the 🐐👑

  23. Sfearox1

I sold my gtx 1080 ti last year for a cheap rtx 2080 ti. I will buy a gtx 1080 ti again for a i7 8700k build

  24. alphagusta

Overclocked 1080 saw me through 2017-2023, a couple of them in 1440p

An absolute god of a GPU

  25. ZX_StarFox

I had two pascal cards, the 1080 and Titan Xp.

I held on to both as a backup and for a server. Such a great generation, they have treated me very well.

  26. Lisek502

Still running 1080Ti but probably going to upgrade next year to 5000 series

  27. thxredditfor2banns

I had my 1050ti until last year and i could play literally anything even if o was forced to lower graphics settings but i could play anything

  28. Still rocking a 1080 Ti today with a 7800X3D!

It’s awesome to have zero CPU bottleneck and be able to let the GPU perform as well as possible.

Outputting 4k@120hz 8-bit to a 65″ OLED TV. Struggles with 4k a bit but still does surprisingly well

  29. HardStroke

1080Ti is the best gpu to ever exist. So ahead of its time. Was such an insane value in 2020 and 2021 when we had the shortage, almost bought one myself but found a cheaper and more reliable 2070 (1080Ti was aorus waterforce and 2070 is wf3)
The 1080Ti will never be topped.

  30. indianamith425

I still use my 1060. I want to upgrade but this card is one of the most loyal pieces of hardware I’ve ever had. The only game I can’t play is Alan Wake 2.
