Anyone else almost lose and eye power-wrapping rubber bands when they were young? Found an entire bin of these cleaning up today.

I had this. Did it come with forts you put together and attack?? I can barely just remember playing with my older brother.

Crossbows and Catapults. I loved this game. My brother used to shoot the disks at me with his mini hockey stick. I didn’t love that as much.

Awesome game, wish I still had mine, all I have is fireball island, hero quest, key to the kingdom, dreamphone, and battle masters from my childhood.

When I got this game one Christmas it didn’t come with either the instructions or the sticker sheet. Luckily friends of the family also had this game so my Mum wrote down the basic instructions over the phone on how to play until the company sent the missing stuff. Everyone that played this game at my house was hooked at first catapult launch. Such a unique game at a time when most board games were about going clockwise around the board with dice rolls and picking up cards on certain squares. This and Heroquest (which I never had until last year with the relaunch) were two of my favourite games growing up along with Scotland Yard and the OG Monopoly.

I loved this game. In swedish it was called ”Barbarernas sista kamp” which translates to ”The last battle of the barbarians”

Awesome times! By brothers and I double tied the bands on all weapons to make them go twice as far. We also had 4 copies to make larger castles. We never followed the rule book (take turns shooting? SMACK!) and just fired away until the last man fell. Well the only rule we had was the bunkers couldn’t be used once the men on it fell.
Later on they released the expansion that added ships and dragons. Because the dragon didn’t have rubber bands and was therefore useless at our range, we were allowed to have the dragon “fly” (physically stand up and shoot) but lose the dragon if the dragon master fell. Ships were interesting. We played on an area with 2 land masses (carpet) with water (tile) in the middle. The ships were deployed on the water, as they are, and were allowed to move up to 2 tiles every few seconds.
Cleanup was hell. There are probably discs still under some crevices in my childhood home.

Best tabletop wargame ever.

I wanted that game so badly when I was a kid.

Crossbows and Catapults!

I loved that game. The catapults were cool but were worthless in game play. It was the crossbow that did all the damage.

I swear I’ve seen this before, maybe saw it at a grandparents house or something
