Just finished watching Dredd the 2012 version for the 10th time. And I gotta say. I love this movie even more. The matrix Blade Runner The Terminator are the top of the sci-fi movie genre list . But this is a way better version of Judge Dredd the Keith Urban portrays than the one Sylvester Stallone did in 1995

It was severely overlooked at the time of it’s release but it has a pretty strong cult following now. I wouldn’t say it’s underrated.
Yeah no insult to OP but underrated is a term I think often applied in the wrong way.
No one really says this movie sucks, but hardly anyone saw it at the time.

No I think it’s rated exactly where it should be… 4.5 on google, 80% on rotten tomatoes. The 60% on metacritic is a bit harsh tho.

Incredible film. They nailed Dredd’s character and I particularly enjoyed how his relationship with Anderson developed throughout the film. Very impressive Slo-Mo visuals. The film’s budgetary constraints hampers audience immersion in Mega City One (e.g. it seemed odd seeing real-world vehicles) but everything else is done so well I’d still rate the film as near-perfect. I find myself rewatching it a few times a year.

Bith dredd movies are awesome, one is so bad and cliché and the other is so gritty and so fucking baddassssssss. Amazing movie.
Not underrated. Definitely a good movie. I watched many years ago and rewatch last year. I know a lot of people who like it as well. The movie is mentioned here quite often, also you can find it on many recommendations list out there.
Love this movie. Definitely doesn’t get enough love from the wider film-going community. And yeah, I think it’s def cyberpunk. I actually use Judge Dredd and Robocop to explain cyberpunk to my parents lol, they’ve never seen Blade Runner so that’s out as a reference point.
Cus two films with basically the same same plot came out that year. Dredd and Raid.
