People like the Fuel Rats from elite dangerous who make it their duty to perform Search and Rescue to get fuel to stranded pilots no matter how far that poor soul might be

Or the people who operate VATSIM which is a fan made volunteer system of air traffic control for the Microsoft Flight sim series, with controllers and pilots all over the world, that mirrors the real world NAS.

What are some other groups of very dedicated, coordinated players that boost their communities?

People who help with sell missions in GTA Online

I’d say people help create patches for older games that are essentially abandon ware, where the devs either don’t exist for the game anymore, or don’t even bother getting it to run on modern hardware

CyricZ for the Yakuza community. Has in-depth GameFAQs guides for every single Yakuza game on how to 100% them.

  4. Rocketplaya

The Body Recovery Squad in Valheim. Sometimes you just can’t get your gear from all of the enemies nearby.

  5. I’ve heard a lot of people describe the monster hunter or warframe endgame as helping new players. As a warframe veteran I can agree. 90% of my time is helping new players and I love it. And at the same time when I first started someone else’s helped me out. So it’s not organized like the above but it does not mean they are not dedicated to simply helping others.

  6. Path of Exile players. Some people are insane with the game.

Oddly enough Fallout 76. The community is great! Lots of players gear other players up with nice gear and items as soon as they leave the vault. I have seen it many times.

Anyone who mods games and adds features that devs should, but for free.

Ex. From soft seamless coop mods.

The people behind destiny Item Manager or destiny Armor picker. Many people could Not Imagine playing the Game without them, cause they are so helpfull

People are mentioning those that give handouts to new players, gear, cash, food. Ect ect ect…

I personally am not a fan of that in the slightest, I am big on RuneScape, specifically osrs. And seeing people hand fist fulls of cash of new players breaks my heart. The best memories I had was earning that first piece of equipment that elevated me to the next tier.

Not shaming, just, It breaks my heart to see people taking away the joy of unlocking something new.

I think the best answer is probably all of the people who work on game wikis. If you are the first person to discover an item in the game they’ll have it written down before you can even finish submitting it.

Eve Scout, they map wormholes and if you get stuck they can either find you or direct you to one of their stashes

  13. SlurpyAss

RS3/OSRS players that help update the wiki pages.

Modders that make new contents and enhance the game, Modders that fix games that is no longer supported and fan translators who make great gems playable for non-native speakers, which was my inspiration to become one.

  15. ChurchillianGrooves

The people that made all the conversion mods for Mount and Blade Warband, I think there’s seriously more than you could play in a lifetime.

  16. SgtTreehugger

Whoever maintains and uodste oldschool runescape wiki. It’s probably the best wiki for a game I’ve ever seen

  17. rikashiku

FF14 seem to host events between players that aren’t part of the games direction.

Warframe players help each other out with the grind, and there’s a big one for sure.

Fallout 76 players help out newbies with getting an early start into the game.

  18. Erisian23

The people in communities who create, 3rd party support software.

Mods for Minecraft/Skyrim add-ons for wow, Path of building for path of exile.

These guys and gals love the game so much they take time off playing it to make it better and improve it alter the experience for everyone else.

  19. steveraptor
