Maybe one of those older Phenom II CPUs with disabled cores re-enabled but only one extra core is working. I remember late in Phenom II’s life cycle AMD started disabling cores in their 6 core CPUs to 4 cores if it couldn’t maintain the 6 cores for whatever reason

some recent low-end intel laptop CPUs have 5 cores in a 1P + 4E configuration
