And here I thought Video game are ready to not rely on film as standard, how wrong I am.

Ooh sounds like the thing everyone wants more of! Non skippable cut scenes!

these clickbaits be like 😴 just stop hyping a game that will not even release this decade, let them cook and in couple years we will see the results of their work

The Witcher had some great cut scenes that still allowed for some decision making. I’d like a bit more opportunity to see my V in action while acting out my choices.

I see this as an upgrade and additive element to the game not a detraction, but I’m sure some more die hard RPG fans will disagree.

I mean 2077 already sorta did that. Unless this means we’ll finally get more 3rd person perspectives, I don’t see how this is anything new.

I feel like the gaming industry is increasing diverging into two separate gene pools, with some studios doubling down on creating “cinematic” single-player experiences and hiring out of Hollywood for professional writers, voice actors, motion capture, live orchestral scores, and cinematographers, while other studios are investing in big multiplayer-only games and all are trying to become the next big e-sport or Warcraft.

One of the frustrating consequences of this imo is that you see a lot of companies converting their singleplayer IP into multiplayer (jumping the gap to what appears to be the more profitable side of the split before it’s too late). So while idk if I’ll love this shift to a more cinematic-style for the next cyberpunk game, I definitely prefer it to the dark alternate reality where CDPR announces _cyberpunk online_

2077 already got heavy influence from both Bladerunner film, and now they’re gonna double down? bring it on.

Oh no they’re starting to talk and hype up they’re game too early again….just make a great action RPG and zip it please 😀

Clickbait post. Sentences like these are used in many job descriptions for hiring. This is not something new.

Not everyone needs to do Rockstar thing and develop a game engine, im glad they went with the latest Unreal Engine gives them more time to flex their creativity

I mean 2077 was plenty cinematic already. I loved how detailed the facial animations are in this game. They move really fluidly too, compared to some other RPGs I’ve played.

Ok but let them cook for like 3 more years after expected release, it usually makes the difference as this game has SUBSTANTIALLY shown
