Yes, it’s beautiful, but the story and characters couldn’t hold my attention for long. The first game was better in that regard.
I have considered it, but I can’t. My open world fatigue will demolish my desire to keep playing it and I certainly don’t need around 100 gigabytes of space to be occupied by something I can’t force myself to play. It being beautiful doesn’t help – all games are beautiful these days, it’s not sufficient anymore.
Hi-Fi Rush has been a breath of fresh air – a truly beautiful, fun and non-meandering game that picked exactly one thing it wants to be good at and just maximized it. I’d like more of that – linear, unique in a sense its gameplay is doing just one thing expertly and with a inspired story that doesn’t have severe pacing issues due to an open-world-like structure of it.
Its nothing more than a PS5 Techdemo.
It’s beautiful but I think I still prefer the first. They had it perfect but they made some odd choices in the second like the over-saturation and sharpening.
Boring Ubisoft clone with shitty writting and combat made for 60IQ gamers. Nah, will pass. Graphics are good, but that’s the least part anybody sane should look in games.
Focus tested product aimed to appeal to everyone. There’s no real intelligence, wit, profound meaning or continuously addictive gameplay loop. All style no substance. And I don’t like it’s style. Imagine how dull your game needs to be to make fighting robot dinosaurs with bow and arrow…boring.
As for visuals…well…If you want to look at pretty colors, I recommend pressing your thumbs against your eyelids and hold them in like that for 30 seconds. It’s a less time wasting experience.

Really liked the first game. Had high hopes for Forbidden West. My wallet is not so fat at the moment, I’ll buy it when it gets on more reasonable sale in 6 months or so. I’m glad it’s released and I’m very excited to play it.

I played the first one and just couldn’t stand the gameplay and story, there was something it just didn’t work with me. I heard FW is even worse in those areas so even though it really really looks beautiful i dont think ill play it
Pass. Couldn’t finish the first game, won’t bother with the second. I assume they, again, spent the whole budget on graphics. I’ll hop on Ghost of Tsushima tho.
Even in the PS5, when it comes to visuals, this game is so Gorgeous. Personally I liked the story in this one a tad better than zero dawn. Yes something’s were drawn out more than they should be. But I didn’t care lol I’m also the same guy who loved Death Stranding and repetition.

I liked the story and characters of the first game more, but this one definitely has it beat in the visuals and gameplay department.
Just watch out for some of the quests, because the design can be very bad at times. One quest was so ill-conceived it temporarily dissuaded me from using a weapon type it was supposed to serve as a tutorial for until a YouTube video convinced me otherwise.
It only gets more beautiful the further you get into it.. but you must endure the story and horrible characters..

I liked this game but not sure if I can play through it again. There is SO MUCH dialogue, the characters talk non stop. Even minor characters you meet once will go on and on, then all the companion characters have dialogue about every event that happens. It’s too much.
Not me because I don’t like boring and overrated games.
I completed the first horizon and the expansion, gave up on this after about 15 hours. It’s just dull. I really liked the first game but Aloys chat just gets old after a while and I just don’t feel the story pulling me through even to just focus on a quick run through the story quests. If they do a third one they need to really examine the good points of aloy and try something new
Forbidden West is truly a “next-gen” looking title and there hasn’t been a better one yet purely in terms of visuals.
I would recommend people play this on OLED for the best experience possible, but the game will look great regardless. There was a certain area in the game which made me pause and gawk for 15mins. I was checking the textures and the lighting and I couldn’t believe my eyes.
Makes me want to replay Elden Ring.
It’s a beautifull game, but I prefer the first one. This games story is not that interesting.
I finished it on PS5 already so I’m not gonna buy it again. Maybe if it’s 50% of in a few years
Great graphics but boring story and gameplay. Great graphics doesn’t make a game more fun or enjoyable actually and never a reason to buy a game. Maybe future mods may save that game but as for now, it doesn’t worth its price
A lot of the characters don’t feel like they have weight behind them. I do quest only to forget about the person who I did it for 10min later.
