Last night I used Legos for my build.

If its stupid and it works, its still stupid. That thing looks like a metal piece, inside a cabinet full of electronics that don’t like to be short circuited. I would re-attempt that anti-sag solution. Try with something that has a much lower risk of conducting. Wood is good, plastic can melt (but also makes for a nasty overheating “alarm”).
