I just received my last piece for my pc and open the box , look a little shocked as there’s usually a bag it comes in , nope just the motherboard laying on cardboard , okay weird but I pull it out and notice there’s thermal paste all over it , pins are bent and dust all over the board itself , it’s used and is now broken

I’m 15 and don’t think I’ll be able to get a new one
Or atleast for a while

Where did you buy it from? Return this immediately if you can

Is this becoming the new tempered glass on tiles? I’ve seen a bunch of these lately.

But yeah send it back immediately.

If amazon lets you down, there’s a good chance you can still get this working.

Clean that socket as best you can with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry.

You can use the end of a mechanical pencil to carefully straighten any bent pins on the cpu. Once straight, drop it into the socket.

  6. If it’s amazon u should be able to return it easily.

  7. Why do people keep buying tech off amazon?
Is it even worth the risk?

Some idiot that doesn’t know shit about pcs tried to build one. For some reasson put thermal paste on the socket pins instead of on the cpu (cuz he’s an idiot). Realized he fucked up got scared and returned the board. Now you have it. Had it happen to me too, receiving used parts that come in damaged or dirty when you buy new is always frustrating. Return the board and get a replacement
