
A few days ago I watched Buildzoid's video on CPU degradation, and in it he mentioned voltage-induced oxide layer breakdown, where an excessive amount of voltage can cause permanent degradation regardless of the current.
I was benchmarking my 7945HX today after a PTM-7950 application when I noticed the voltage it is getting. Apparently it is spiking above 1.3V, which got me a bit concerned.
I recalled from my time using a R5-3600 that the max “safe” voltage for that generation of processors was considered to be 1.3V, but since both AMD and TSMC had moved on from 7nm, I am not quite sure what the max voltage is for Zen 4.
Desktop Ryzen 7000 processors seemed to be running at voltages even higher than that, so I don't know if either AMD is out of their mind with the voltages or am I missing something here

Personally I recommand the amd cpu overclock by PBO, due to PBO is smart at power consumtion. otherwise you should decrease cpu voltage if you want to increase core speed manually, due to amd cpu has temperture limit around 100c. Fixed 1.3v is easy to get bsod and reboot on laptop. also I see nothing above 1.3v in that picture.
