Sell all the cosmetic DLC you want, but when you sell stuff that has an effect on gameplay (even if it can also be purchased with in-game currency) in a full-priced game, that’s super crappy.

  2. InflamedLiver

Lazy-ass tax. Might as well have an option for twenty bucks that just takes you from the “start game” option to the ending cinematic.

  3. KleitosD06

This might legitimately be one of the scummiest, under-handed launches of a game I’ve ever seen.

  4. ASH98_CZ

Hold up! Change Pawn Inclinations? You mean to tell me that you can pay 2 bucks to make an NPC gay? Not gonna lie… I did not expect that! LMAO!

  5. REPTILEOFBLOOD

Ugh, why do game companies keep including this when all it does is make their game get memed on and give it bad PR?

  6. satanic_black_metal_

    Lmao “a thoughtful gift” that’ll be 1 pound 70.

Gift… you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

  7. Girl_Of_Culture

Well… That’s a lot, But I don’t think there’ll be a game that has more DLC than Sims series.

  8. thedeadsuit

Resident Evil 4, Monster Hunter World, etc. have similar if not more MTX items to buy. As long as the base game has the items and is well balanced, the existence of MTX won’t affect you.

  9. This reminds me of the RE4R s dlc where you can just buy golden exclusive tickets. I guess capcom is full lean on pay2win single player mechanics now.

  10. Coach_McGuirk__

I’m just going to sail the high seas and grab her for free like any single player game.

  11. Might as well sold the ability to move as dlc ffs.

  12. King_Diablo_131

can u not grind these ingame? are they locked behind pay walls? cos most of these items “SEEMS” grindable

  13. deepestcut

not defending but this is just classic capcom. you can open up their other games steam store like RE, MH and SF. same shits.

  14. Illustrious-Lime-863

Similar (and more) microtransactions in Resident Evil 4 and Monster Hunter World, yet no witch hunt on them. The hive mind set’s direction seems pretty random

  15. Endgame3213

They are literally just selling these items ALREADY included in the Deluxe/Collector’s editions.

Literally none of them are necessary to buy, but this gives people who did not get the upgraded edition the option if they want them.

I mean, I hate microtransactions, but this stuff is already being sold via other editions; I really don’t see the difference.

Did anyone car these items were included as an extra fee on premium edition? Nope.. but the same exact items as small micro transactions!? REEEEEE

  16. DoradoPulido2

It’s like the Chinese gold farmers took over the game dev industry.

  17. You can get all of these with a few hours of play. Litterally, all these onetime buy items are useless.

  18. BHF_Bianconero

“We don’t want to have fast travel, that’s boring”

  19. Able-Work-4942

It’s the same thing they did with RE4R. It’s the deluxe edition items sold separately. I believe they can all be acquired in-game.

  20. kyouya-P

Whats crazy is how all of this can be obtained ingame. Entirely for free. Easily aswell.

  21. Euphoric-Ad-441

literally everything here is easily obtainable in game, but ride that karma train!

  22. Tobsen85

But do you need this stuff or is it just shortcut stuff for people with no time?

  23. Deliriousious

I know you can get/do all this in game… the scummy part is the fact these exist in the first place. It doesn’t need mtx, they just did it to make more money off an already AAA price game.

Gonna wait a year or so for when it goes on sale, or when they remove the MTX and fix the performance.

  24. So they just sell what the deluxe edition has included huh?(the top)

While the rest is really WTF man

  25. RaptorX7

I just think its hilarious that they finally put the “Resurrect your character in battle – $1” button into a single player game.

  26. canadarugby

Yiiiiikes. I was going to 100% buy this game too.

  27. 2Pizzas1Box

They’re masterworks all, you can’t go wrong.

  28. Xantangum

Microtransactions in singleplayer games are pure cancer 🙂

  29. Nordic_Krune

This is normal for Capcom games, but somehow people didn’t complain about RE4 remake

  30. 2dy_fish

Imagine a single player game with unskippable cutscenes but only skippable after buying the DLC.

  31. EpsilonTheAdvent

Yeah, this is gonna be Gaming’s new karma farm meta for the next 2 weeks, people spreading misinformation in it too

  32. DrMantisToboggan1986

Still doesn’t beat Koei Tecmo’s DLC for Dead or Alive 6 Last Round

  33. While I do not mean to defend this shit, that was the similar case in DD1 at the beginning at least. They removed it with the expansion.

And while this is a cheap ass cash grab and an arsehole thing to do, you don’t need it. You can find plenty of Chrystals in the game and the other stuff is also unnecessary and acquireable in-game.
Capcom is doing this in almost all of their games. DD1, DMC5, Monster Hunter Series to name a few. The list for mtx in these games is long, but always absolutely unnecessary.
You can acquire that stuff always rather easy in-game.

The dumbest mtx ever was when they tried to sell you red orb packs in DMC 5 while showering you with them in the game.

Still a shitty thing to do. I am not defending it.

  34. Roxdeath

Nothing wrong here. This is not a competitive game. Everything here can be bought in in-game stores without spending another dime.

If anything I love that they do this, keeps investors happy cause there are people who enjoy the game differently can be as happy as those who want to enjoy by playing. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. It ain’t that hard.

Now if they were selling something u CANT buy in game or can’t get without paying. That’s another issue. But u can for his game.

  35. ThreatOfFire

I love this. People who didn’t play the first one probably don’t realize that all these things are normal consumables you can get in the game.

  36. Mundane_Bike_3232

This is not the corps fault, it is ours. Stop paying for it and they stop selling it
