The current resource system makes mid range fights pointless!

When players can fully plate up 5 times in a row, have multiple self rezzes and a munitions box, then anything but head-shot sniping or close range turns into a war of attrition.

I used to love mid-range engagements where tacticals and lethals played a role, but did not instantly decide a fight. Where the decision between ego-challing and repositioning was relevant. Now you can always reset the fight and try again and again and again, unless you get instantly downed or the opponent is already on you.

One of the reasons I left warzone.

Gun fights in wz1 were 2 minutes tops.

Gun fights now are 5 minutes and then having to deal with a 3rd party squad.

Way too many self rez, too many redeploy tokens and flares.

Fighting the same squads for 25min isn’t fun at all.

I honestly dislike the backpack system in general. Sure, it adds complexity, but its complexity that the game never needed. Just because a backpack allows me to fuck plates and just carry around five UAVs, that doesn’t mean it makes the game better. Inventory management was completely fine the way it was during the Verdansk era.

They had plating perfect in wz1. No plating while sprinting was a good thing. And the speed of plating was perfect. It’s too fast now. Someone takes cover for 1 second and is back with 3 plates.

  5. Not only can you fully plate 5 times, but you and your mates can smoke you off even if you go down.

This is why people have like 4000 damage and 2 kills.

Increase health and max 8 plates. That’s it.

the backpack was the worst change to wz, hate dealing with inventory.

As someone who gets commando quite a bit, I think it’s a skill issue. I slay at mid range so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

The whole inventory/ backpack thing has been a dreadful addition imo. Whether it’s kill streaks, self revives, or plates, it’s extremely poorly thought through.

This is gonna be an unpopular opinion on here…

But if you don’t wanna snipe and lack the AR skill to put dudes down quickly at 60+ meters, get good at closing the gap! Carry smokes and try to not frequently be in line of sight of the enemies, while getting closer.

No one is forcing you to shoot at the dude, plate up and reposition, instead of just firing from where you are.

Or just get better at knowing what gunfights are worth it and when! Don’t shoot at everyone you see! If you are uncomfy at a certain range, don’t take any gunfights in that range. There are certain fights that I just don’t take, depending on what loadout I am running.

So basically… do a better job of getting to your spot instead of blaming the game! Or develop the little things to get better outside of your spot:

    – practice on the last dummy more with your SMG so you can consistently hit shots, even past its max damage range

    – practice getting good with frags and semtexs so you can punish those dudes who are plating around a corner

    – get good at quickscoping to really become a midrange demon

  10. Ehh these get burned up trying to get into the last 2 circles in fortunes keep lol.

Well this is why everybody runs snipers on the big map and ram 7 on the smaller maps. Both guns can delete you fast within the right ranges

And the meta is so boring lol all fun guns got nerfed while some guns are allowed to be op for like a month + now

I’m gonna get flamed but the backpack system was a godsend for me to do all sorts of whacky shit, and I miss the DMZ large backpack. Switching perk packages on the fly is great because I can generate stims, smokes, knives, and mini bomb drones while I’m not fighting and use them well when I am.

The number of self revives definitely needs to be cut down. My team and I find enough in a resurgence match to have 2-3 extra each. They also need to cut down in kill streaks that are given.

Cut down self revives given, kill streaks and redeploy flares by 25%…

Limit self revive purchase to one per game…

Make kill streaks more expensive the more you buy except UAVs….

    Limit plates to 12 max

Yes we know. Basically the whole game is based around a single 1 shot sniper that you can only get in your loadout. Rockets and grenades are water ballons and gunfights feel like a dance routine replacing 18 plates at a time

But hey, anybody that liked “Iron Trials” nerf nonsense or goofy glowing weapon/operator skins or who exploit wearing the goofy skins to troll players, should be on cloud 9 at this point. They really got what they wanted
