I think Vik was extremely underutilized. He should of atleast had a chain of quests or something. Or the beat on the brat side mission given by him. So I hope we see em again.

i would love to see vik some more, but i don’t think it’d feel right. i know the actor’s family gave rights to use ai for phantom liberty for the few lines in tower ending. but to do it for a whole game? or recast him? idk it doesn’t sit well with me, i think i’d rather see vik’s character “retired” in honor of the deceased actor (like how sports people retire jersey numbers in honor of athletes sorta thing, ya know?)

None of them. Don’t even want it in the same country, let alone the same city.

Cyberpunk London, Tokyo or Singapore City (especially if they managed to keep/integrate their current solarpunk aesthethic) would be pretty dope.

If it’s set in say 2078 or 79, then most of them just to add continuity to the world. Even if they’re not interactive. Just being able to run by Viks and poke your nose in and see him sitting there.

Multiple ending games must be a nightmare to prep a sequel for though. Where do they draw the line?

I mean it depends on the story.
Is the story about V, who survived / or is looking for a cure?
Well yea, in that case going the witcher 3 route where some choices of the previous game (choices you made in Witcher 2 in that case) carry over.
It would make sense seeing Judy and Panam again, if you brought them with you for example.

Is the story not about V at all?
In that case I’d prefer some little snippets or easter eggs, like having a drink at a bar be called “V” or something. Or maybe some mysterious morally grey characters like Blue Eyes show up again.

He doesn’t need to be a main character, but I think there could be a great story arc that has Gary as a significant player

Brendan comes back cause his AI was secretely coppied 3 nanoseconds before the upload completed and was sucked through the black wall. He creates a safe haven for netrunners exploring beyond the blackwall, gathering data on taste that he previously couldn’t before. He meets many people, and if you are still V, it is a happy reunion. if not, you learn his back story, and he talks about V and night city.

Eventually, you get a gig or side bizz mission. Despite his protest, you feel a need to somehow get back at the corpo who gave the order (in-game text on a laptop shows the guy did it cause Brendan took his wifes side in an argument). Maybe it is kill him, or you got multiple options.

it is made a morally difficult choice cause you want revenge but you find that his life went to shit either asking you to kill him or just another working class slob on the edge of being fired from his minimum wage gig and you have the opportunity to get him arrested or just push him over the edge into fully fired after reminding him of his wife who left him.

Or he is still in his old job or higher with wife and kids but she is unhappy, and regardless of gender, you have the ability to seduce her and put the nail in the coffin in their marriage. Maybe it is harder to do with a female v but, if you choose the right dialog and she has a “oh god lol, i havent felt like this since college” moment and you both slowly lean closer to each other until bow-chika-wow-wow.

Completing this gig enables a blackwall based quick hack that gives you infinite free health items from all vending machines.

If this game took place a few months after any of the endings or 2 years if Tower is canon, then I’d love to see V again, maybe as a fixer like Rogue.
