One of my favorite villains in the gaming
“We have no beginning. We have no end. We are infinite. Millions of years after your civilization has been eradicated and forgotten, we will endure.”
This was shocking introduction for me the first time I played this, amazing villain and dialogue
Sovereign was definitely amazing. The reapers in general were terrifying and so well done.
“Oh, it’s just a sci-fi shooter where you gotta hunt down the bad egg in your elite special forces group” to “We are at war with an armada of immortal machine intelligences created from the collective biomass of civilizations” is a wild arc and few sci-fi games since have given me these levels of dopamine and existential terror.

this scene is so memorable to me, it was the first time that I realized that horror can be someone totally different than what I had been used to in games and movies until that point,
