I remember playing the original “UT 1999” on dial up modem when I was at uni. Way ahead of its time. I played both the SP and online modes to death. I didn’t play 2004 so much but I know it was very similar.

It really sucks how you can’t buy this anywhere any more. It was available on Steam, but it’s been delisted from the store. Epic doesn’t even give enough of a fuck about their back catalogue to put it up on the Epic Games Store.

The new mode with vehicles was fun, best gameplay in general of the 3 I played ( OG, 2003 and 2004). I still have the cd version and it’s 5 CDs

I have original cd with box. At the time we didn’t have internet so I played singleplayer only. I didn’t even know it could be played online 😅

UT2004 was fantastic, when I played alone I used to go into that space map with quad jump and vampire with the sniper rifle just to hit headshots and build up the announcers callouts for multikills waiting for that HOLY SHIT
