I don’t bother with this mission, I just say what is needed and leave the guy to his own devices, >!so what if you hear a gunshot come from his apt!<

I know the quest exaggerates the issue a little bit but it is definitely a real thing. I have a buddy who talks to no one, literally no one. It’s hard to see him get into these phases where he’s just sad a lot. I couldn’t imagine feeling alone like that.
He’s mostly doing fine and he does have other friends but I don’t think he feels comfortable talking to them on a deeper level. That’s who I thought of during the Happy Together questline. I’ve tried introducing him to new people, I’ve tried consoling him on his issues, I’ve tried a lot but I’ve just got to accept he’s an outsider. I’ve got him work recently and it feels good to know he’s doing something productive in a team with new people. The quest just hits close to home because even though the game exaggerates the issue it’s still pretty spot on in the message. Sometimes he tells me I’m his only real friend and the only one he talks to and all I can think is “Damn.”
He’s just been fucked over a lot by other people and he’s a really nice person so a lot of people take advantage of that kindness. I’m at least thankful that I’m the one he’s befriended that way I know that he’s got someone supporting him. I don’t think he’s in a suicidal situation but that alone feeling can really get to you.

yeah you have to use all the dialogue in this and not just the yellow ones if you want to really help him out, just like real life. You gotta listen to his problems
