I’ve always been a console gamer, but my five year old MacBook Pro that I use for work and music production really started chugging and I knew it was time for an upgrade.
I still love Mac computers but I’ve never felt less excited to go spend $3K on a MacBook Pro (especially after dipping my toe into PC gaming with the Steam Deck.) Decided I’d look into building a pc. Found an awesome local shop and took them my parts list, and they went ahead and just built the whole thing for a few bucks less than I could have bought the parts myself … and I’d still have to build it!
I’m blown away by the combo of the 7900XTX and the 7800X3D. Honestly never had a problem with 60fps on my series x, but I’m not sure how I could go back now. Replaying all of my favorite games on this setup has been a blast. (Minus Elden Ring which somehow doesn’t support ultra wide, goddamnit!)
Music production on this thing is also crazy. The software I use is big on single core performance so the X3D absolutely crushes. 64gb of DDR5 is also excessive but I’m looking forward to not needing to upgrade anything for a good five years.
TL;DR big loud box with lights make pretty pictures very fast and I love it

Download flawless widescreen, then elden ring supports ultrawide at up to 360fps, but you can’t play online
Edit: just google it you have to edit some files to get it working

No, really, that is a really gorgeous build. Love the amber color. You mention music production, so I wonder what speakers you’re using. Upgrading my audio from my modest Bose Companion 2 Series III. What speakers are you using? Is your mobo’s onboard sound enough for enjoying loseless?
