A superb choice. Far Cry 3 is the best in the series imo. You have a lot of great games to catch up on.

Far Cry 3 is definitely my favorite of the series and still a great game with a vibe that has not been captured since then.
BUT from my experience it runs pretty badly on modern hardware. I could not get it to a solid 144hz with my 7900x and 4090. It is not optimized for the amount of threads with modern CPUs, disabling multithreading helped a bit, but it was still not as smooth as hoped. Average FPS were decent, but there were plenty of stutters.

I feel called out. I own both a PS3 and a PS4 but PC gaming wise I had a shitty laptop for the last 10 years. Now I have an RTX 4070 and instead of playing games like Cyberpunk and trying out RT, I’m buying games from the PS3/PS4 era I’ve never played, like Battlefield 1.
They look great on the modern hardware tho 👍
