Tell me you have a sidewinder addiction without telling me you a sidewinder addiction.

MF runs with my hdin in Diablo 2 until the crack of dawn. Collecting keys for my uber-smiter. Good times.

How nostalgic. Oh man, I miss those days.

Kind of unrelated, but I really miss cases being “cool”. Having a door, wierd fan grill shapes in the sides, having carrying handles (atleast mine did). I built a PC in 2008 (q8200, gt 9600, 2x2gb ddr2 800mhz) for crysis, and I still love that era of gaming

Oooooof that’s right in the slot for me. Just moved out of the parents, rented a place with 4 of my buddies. LAN party all day, every day. Not a chick in sight lol.

I remember feuds being started in our Rise of Nations games. The back stabbing (mostly my doing 😈). Delicious tears.

Oh ventrilo. Tabletop mic and separate headphones.

Time for mid town madness followed by Microsoft flight sim battle for Britten then finish with GRAND THEFT AUTO : SAN ANDREAS

  11. Mac_to_the_future

I had that exact case when I was in college; always kept it on the floor because attempting to put it on my desk was risking a back injury.

  12. TactualTransAm

2006? I’d still be hooked on halo 2 and star wars battle front 2

Me, an intellectual, born in 2008 😐

I’m an 08′ child and grew up with a similar PC with Windows XP. My grandpa got the PC and since my parents weren’t tech savvy and I enjoyed all the games I “legally” obtained they didn’t bother to upgrade. While everyone else was enjoying GTA 5 or CSGO I was having a blast with Battlefield 1942, CS 1.6 and the OG GTA trilogy. Im glad I grew up with games that are considered retro today. Still return to ’em today

    Audigy EAX was awesome.

    Insane monitor.

  16. jamesz84

One of my most satisfying gaming experiences was playing through X-Wing Alliance with my Sidewinder Force Feedback!

  17. Toiletpaperplane

Unfortunately, by 2006 my PC that I upgraded in 2003 was so obsolete, I couldn’t even run new games at the lowest settings. So I retired from PC gaming for like 15 years lol

  18. BtotheVV86

Pure nostalgia, wouldn’t mind to spend some hours behind this desk

  19. Gimmefuelgimmefah

I had that sidewinder controller that you like twisted on a ball shaft for movement. Used it for unreal tournament and doom and quake

  20. leperaffinity56

Boy we cranking up Unreal tourney 2004

  21. Nova17Delta

Silvers an underrated color for this stuff

  22. weeklygamingrecap

Man I always regretted getting rid of my FW900. Nice build!

  23. StrongAdhesiveness86

Depending on the day I’m in my dad’s balls. If not I’m in my moms guts.

  24. Most of us had an LCD monitor in 2006, but there were Trinitron holdouts right into the 2010s!

    I had a similar build back then, with an 8800GS, Athlon64 FX 57, and a 1280×1024 monitor.

  25. BF2 with the lads on Skype, damn miss that summer. 7pm to 7am having a blast.

  26. cantBanThisGuy

why did none of us use headsets back then?

  27. Due_Turn_7594

That sidewinder on mechwarrior was tough

  28. n0t_4_thr0w4w4y

You were still on a CRT in 2006?

I’m booting up Civ IV or Rome: Total War

  29. Ddumberdog
