Would watching the Mario movie on 5x or faster then taking a quiz on comprehension be the same as speed running one of the games?
If they are clever they will make the plot almost exactly the same as the last one just with a couple of new locations and characters. The critics will hate it but the fans will see it as a nod to the games which have been doing that for 40 years.
I wonder if the plot will still be as weirdly hollow. They have a chance now they’ve done the world building to maybe do something more interesting?

Calling it now: A new threat arises, and they must go to Bowser, still tiny in prison, to join forces.
I hope Chris Pratt works on his “Wahoo”. It’s was mostly sad in the first film. His voice was the weakest performance.

I enjoyed the first one, i think mainly because I knew it was not a Miyazaki movie but more of a fan-service/celebration of the franchise

I just saw the Mario movie for the first time the other day. I thought it was good.
Except for licensed tracks. There’s no fucking reason to use old ass AC/DC in the movie.
$5 the next Mario movie is going to include Guns N Roses.
I still think that one Thor movie is one of the shittiest movies I’ve ever seen because Guns N Roses played like seven or more times.

First one was fun except for the stupid dog / bathroom scene that existed only to remind you it was an Illumination movie.

The main 4 should get transported into dreamland and have to face Wart and his minions.

Movie was brilliant besides DK. That was not accurate to his persona at all.
